Institute of Chartered Foresters: Forestry Post-Brexit - Webinar Series
Following Brexit on 1st January 2020 the UK and EU entered a transition period, where current rules on trade, travel, and business continue to apply while negotiations continue. On 31 December 2020 this transition period will end and there will be changes that business and governments will need to prepare for.
The Institute of Chartered Foresters are hosting three online webinars that aim to facilitate dialogue between governments, forestry professionals and forestry businesses regarding changes following the end of the transition period to enable the sector to work more effectively together.
These sessions will include updates from UK government and private sector representatives on the current position and information on requirements to further inform readiness planning.
There will be a questions and answer session at the end of each webinar to provide an opportunity for participants to question the presenters and share experiences with other professionals and businesses.
The webinars are supported by the following partners: Institute of Chartered Foresters, Confor, Forestry Commission, Natural Resources Wales, Welsh Government and Scottish Forestry.
Shireen Chambers MBE FICFor, Executive Director of the Institute, will chair all three sessions.
