Overview

This course is a practical introduction to Wood Turning & Traditional Lathes. You will become familiar with using Traditional Lathes and the tools & techniques from log to finished item without the sawmill in between.

Objectives

  • Understanding the uses of a Traditional Pole Lathe

  • Demonstrating Turning methods and types of products made on the lathe

  • Taking cut logs from trees and converting them into workable pieces

  • Depending on progression throughout the day and individual abilities the beneficiaries will Create finished products from those workable pieces

Who should attend?

  • Anyone interested in learning the basics of this craft.
