Institute of Chartered Foresters : Environmental Regulations – Felling Licences

The Institute of Chartered Foresters and Focus on Forestry First have teamed up to bring foresters living and working in Wales a one-day workshop that focuses on felling licences.


Objectives

  • This session will provide an introduction to Natural Resources Wales’ (NRW) new online felling licence form. The presentation will guide the audience through each stage of the form and explain what is needed to ensure an application is right first time.

Speakers

Suzanne Lilley-Owen is the Team Leader for the Forestry Permitting Team in NRW. She began her career with Forestry Commission Wales in 1994 working at the Forest District Office in Llanrwst. She’s had a number of roles over the years – Office Manager of the district office, Management Accountant for the North and Mid Wales, Project Manager for the Forestry Commission Wales Contact Centre, her last role with Forestry Commission Wales was working for the Forest Regulations and Grant Team as the Office Manager dealing with BWW grant applications and felling licences. In 2015, following the formation of NRW, Suzanne became the Team Leader for the Forestry Permitting Team who assess, register, process and determine forestry permits for the whole of Wales.
