This is an exciting opportunity for established instructors and assessors to receive a high standard of training from Janis of At Last! Training.

Many instructors neglect to update their instructional techniques; Janis is an extremely informative and enthusiastic with what she delivers, it really is a great opportunity that shouldn’t be missed!

Overview

A 1 day interactive event designed by AtLast! for anyone who needs to demonstrate practical skills in a work related situation.

Objectives

At the end of this course, participants will be able to;      

  • Prepare a short practical skills training session

  • Give Instruction using a positive, motivating style

  • Use a style that requires trainees to think and participate

Content

  • Planning the content; writing training objectives

  • Managing Trainee practice time; planning, organisation and motivation of trainees to ensure they get the maximum benefit from the session

  • Style; the use of questions to involve trainees

  • Learning styles and the learning cycle

Instructor

Janis Threlkeld - Atlast! Training.

Janis comes from an agricultural background, and has extensive training experience within the training and personal development department of a major high street bank.

She also founded and ran a successful Training Company based in the Retail Sector which is still going strong under new management.

She now works designing and delivering courses for a wide ranging customer base including Atlast! and LANTRA.

Her vibrant personality and enthusiastic and energetic style is infectious to her audiences and ensures that effective learning is transferred back to the workplace.
