This November, expand your knowledge of the use of drones & legislation at this one-day workshop run jointly between the Tremio and Focus on Forestry First.
This Knowledge Transfer Event will explore:
AM Workshop
Introduction to various drones, the difference between prosumer and consumer drones
Basic technology and workings of the drone and how they work
Different payloads of drones and different types of imagery
The Drone Code’ breakdown of the rules implemented by the Civil Aviation Authority that all drone users must adhere to for legal requirements
A brief introduction to NATS and ‘No Fly Zones’
Problems likely to face when operating in the forestry sector
PM Onsite
Introduction to safety checks of the drone and risk assessment whilst on site pre flight
Basic health and safety of drone operator
Flying of the drone and keeping VLOS (visual line of sight)
How to use controller and application
if possible) get learners to take control of drone and perform designated manoeuvres
